Shannon Jones

After spending one year as the Student Advocacy Graduate Associate, Shannon Jones transitioned to a full time position in 2017.  She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Ohio State and is currently a part-time, PhD student in OSU’s Higher Education and Student Affairs program.  Prior to coming back to OSU, she worked for KIPP Columbus as a High School Persistence and College Access Counselor and was a middle school teacher in the Columbus City School district.  Her prior experiences cultivated a passion for higher education access and retention for marginalized groups of students.  When Shannon is not working or reading for class she is spending time with her husband, son, or two dogs.
