Israel Martin, Program Coordinator

After serving as a graduate assistant in the Student Advocacy Center while earning his M.A. in Ohio State's Higher Education & Student Affairs (HESA) program, Israel transitioned to a full-time role in 2012. Prior to working at Ohio State, he worked as an administrator in a vocational school and as a high school teacher and coach. Israel earned his B.A. in Education from Baldwin-Wallace College, where he was involved in varsity athletics, student government, and Greek Life. His experiences as a first-generation college student led to his desire to work on a college campus, and the Student Advocacy Center offers the perfect opportunity to help students work through the challenges they encounter while pursuing their degrees. Israel is currently working on a Ph.D. in the HESA program at Ohio State. He is from Shelby, Ohio.
