Advising

The Student Advocacy Center does not offer academic advising, but our advocates work closely with academic advisors on complex issues and also on a variety of everyday functions.

Adovcates, instead, offer general advising and assistance for students who must build their educational experience around sometimes outstanding circumstances or life events.  Our holistic approach enables us to consider all issues that can impact a student's success and provide them with the necessary insights and information to make informed decisions about their time here.

For specific advising questions, including issues such as degree progress, program requirements, scheduling, deadlines, and dropping classes before the posted (usually 10th Friday) deadlines, it is important that students consult their academic advisors directly.  Please always be mindful of peak times and deadlines, and make appointments in advance whenever possible.
